The birth of Regional Institute of Nursing (RIN) in June 2023 tagged the beginning of a new chapter within the framework of India’s education in the State of Arunachal Pradesh.

RIN is established to enrich lives through high-quality education in Nursing and to shape nursing students to become successful professionals who serve humanity with compassion and moral guidelines, and make their lives, families, the State, Nation, and the World a better place.

With the full-fledged support of the Chairperson Remi Ronya, theory and practical training led by highly qualified Principal Rani Philip, and a team of Professional Educators, and Staff, RIN is determined by all means to grow in leaps and bounds by creating professional goal-oriented nurses of high-standards with a global outlook.

About Us

The Regional Institute of Nursing (RIN), Itanagar, is started with an aim to be one of the best nursing Institution in Arunachal Pradesh, and in the neighbouring states. RIN aims to bring-forth world-class nurses with profound knowledge in nursing and with hands-on training in the latest skills in nursing practicals. At present, RIN is providing diploma course in Nursing (GNM).

RIN has been established in June 2023 and is approved by the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and is recognized by the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council. The Institute is located in the heart of Itanagar town at G-Extension Sector, adjacent to Model English School, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

The ambience is peaceful and breath-taking for learning and assimilation. It is located barely 100 meters from the Capital Revival Church, Ganga, Itanagar. The Institute is totally residential.

RIN Campus life encourages students to focus on academics, minimise the stress of commuting, meet and mingle with more diverse people, and whenever needed to facilitate the students to travel easily for theory and practical classes in different institutions.

Objectives

On completion of the Diploma Programme the GNM certificate holder will be :

  •    Professionally competent to provide optimal health-care services to all people irrespective of race, color, caste, creed, and regardless of socio-economic status.
  •    Competent in the skills, and techniques in nursing based on standard protocols, and scientific principles
  •    Capable of leadership, and supervisory roles in academics, at bedside, and community
  •    Able to practice moral, and ethical values in personal, and professional life
Vision

The vision of Regional Institute of Nursing (RIN) is to be at the forefront of providing high- quality nursing education to enrich lives, and to transpire intellectually enlightened, socially responsible, competent, morally upright, and empathetic individuals, who will be globally recognized and become successful health-care professionals.

RIN also envisions teaching, training, and instilling emotional intelligence, professional commitment, critical thinking, and to impart effective communication skills, which eventually contribute shaping the state, the nation, and the global health-care profession.

Mission

Regional Institute of Nursing (RIN) mission is to promote a learner-centred approach which shift focus from teachers to students. It is a challenging environment to all the students which helps them to enhance their academic effectiveness so that they become self-motivators, good independent leaders, and professional nurses with a global outlook.

  •    The GNM course is approved by the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
  •    RIN is recognized by the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council, and it is about to be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  •    RIN is also affiliated to the Samaritan Hormin Hospital and the Niba Hospital, Pappu Nallah, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh
  •    RIN has its own infrastructure; it’s a 7 storied Institution with separate academic block in one floor, and girls’ hostel in two floors, with neat, clean, and spacious rooms.
  •    Library with latest books, journals, and magazines on nursing and other related topics.
  •    Modern laboratories with spacious rooms, and sufficient laboratory articles for each lab.
  •    Transport facilities: RIN is providing bus and light vehicle.
